All you need is the Mineways program and a SketchFab account. With Mineways installed and open, your first task is to find the level you want to import from your Minecraft saves folder. You select what you want by right-clicking and dragging a box.
This building works well. The site will open and let you grab the key to put in the box, then hit upload. Imagine if you have a build you love and want to share it with the world? Now you can! And you can adjust the settings on SketchFab to tag areas if you want people to admire your work. Mineways automatically tags uploads, so you can see what others have made. If you want a higher fidelity rendering, including light sources, then you need to use Chunkya program so wide and deep that it could be a ravine.
Chunky has been covered here beforebut we never explained how to use it. It takes some trial and error, a good PC, and a whole lot of time. But when the Minecraft community talk about renders, they usually mean the kind of thing that Iskillia does: exporting a beautiful build from Minecraft, opening it up in a 3D art program, and then essentially photographing it. The point of rendering in a 3D art program is that such programs allow you to calculate way fancier visuals than are possible in game - and this takes time. For example, a 3D art program can be used to calculate how every ray of light might bounce around a scene, reflecting off surfaces, scattering across others, refracting as it passes through water and generally doing all the beautiful things light does in reality.
Minecraft, like all videogames, takes a few shortcuts. And this is the heart of why people render their builds. Blender has the advantage of being free, but there are many other programs to choose from, like Maya and Cinema4D. Once the build is imported with all its textures you can choose a camera perspective, set up lighting and a background.
This is the part where you can get creative and stand out from others. It's similar to taking a photograph. Lighting, colours and other effects can create a certain mood to complement the build. It is easier to work when each element is separated and can easily be adjusted without interfering with the rest. If you have loads of water, and highly reflective water at that, like Iskillia's render above, it can sometimes be a long wait indeed.

Do you have a really cool Minecraft world, and want to show it off? Chunky runs on Java and is cross platform. Installation is fairly straightforward on most systems, especially if you only download the Java binaries — just click and run the program. Once Chunky loads up, it will ask you to select one of your Minecraft worlds. You can select the chunks you want to be included in your render by clicking them. If you zoom out, you can select multiple chunks at a time.
Anything not inside these chunks will not be rendered, so if you have an idea of an angle you want to take a shot of, make sure to get enough chunks behind it and in the background so that your render will not be cut off. Click into the preview window and use the mouse, W, A, S, and D to move around, as well as R and F to move up and down. Smaller canvases will render faster, but look worse. Large canvases will look great but may take hours to render.
